Visiting a new regenerative project, a recently acquired family property in the Bordeira area of Aljezur, with 30 hectares of land and steep slopes, composed of a forest of species such as cork oaks, holm oaks, strawberry trees, cistus, and brooms (among others), as well as an incredible variety of shrubs and mushrooms. Around 80% of the area is reserved for permanent forest (zone 5).
Our vision for this project is to develop an ecological human structure focused on agroforestry, and potentially beekeeping, as well as a productive zone that includes mixed orchards and horticulture. The initial focus is on overcoming the challenges of the terrain, creating a multifunctional zoning matrix, access, and water in the landscape that becomes a “vehicle” for ecological regeneration.
At Terracrua Design, we aim to create regenerative landscapes that support human needs while enhancing ecosystem health. Learn more about our services and approach at www.terracruadesign.com.
